About Energy Corridor

Energy Corridor is a section of Houston. Its northern border is lined by I-10. It is on the westernmost point of Houston. Katy is alongside its western border. Some of the Memorial section of Houston is part of Energy Corridor. The community of Energy Corridor is about 18 miles away from Downtown Houston.

Energy Corridor has been given its name because it is the home of a number of energy and petrochemical companies. ConocoPhillips, BP America, ExxonMobil Chemical, Foster Wheeler USA Corporation, Mustang Engineering, Shell Oil Company Exploration and Production, Technip USA and WorleyParsons all have national or regional headquarters in Energy Corridor.

However, there is also quite a bit of residential growth happening within Energy Corridor. Various master planned communities have been built within this section of Houston, also much of the George Bush Park is located within the Energy Corridor.
