About Rosenberg

Rosenberg is about 36 miles southeast of Downtown Houston. Residents access Houston via I-69/US-59. The city has an approximate population of 31,676. The city was named after Henry Rosenberg, a Swiss immigrant who came to the United States in 1846. Rosenberg was the president of the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad. The Railroad was built to connect Galveston to Santa Fe while bypassing Houston. The railroad built a station in the community that is currently known as Rosenberg. The area was called Rosenberg in 1880. The city was incorporated in 1905. The city has grown to the flourishing city that it is today. While it takes pride in its history, it is constantly looking towards the future.
